Briton held in under-age sex case

A 69-year-old British man has been arrested on suspicion of paying under-age girls for sex.
 
Colonel Keo Thea, chief of the Phnom Penh Police anti-human trafficking unit, said the man had been arrested at a coffee shop in Chamkarmon district in Phnom Penh.
 
“We have been investigating this man for about two months. The girls in question were aged from 13 to 15,” he said. Police are checking for more evidence in the man’s apartment.
 
Khoem Vando, program director at Action Pour Les Enfants which fights sex exploitation of children, welcomed the arrest of anyone suspected of paying for sex with minors.
