Job applicants with accounting and finance skills stand a better chance of being hired by Cambodian employers seeking to fill vacancies in their companies, according to a report released yesterday by online career portal Everjobs.
Marie Balandreau, business development manager at Everjobs Cambodia, said the report analyzed more than 9,000 job advertisements between 2015 and 2016 and found that employers prioritized accounting and finance skills above other skill sets.
“This clearly shows that job applicants with accounting and finance qualifications stand a better chance of being employed,” Ms. Balandreau said.
“We are glad to be able to provide professionals with this information, in order to help them find their dream job,” she added.
According to the report, candidates with accounting and finance qualifications who had cost control experience stood the best chance of being hired, followed by those with budget management and inventory management experience.
“We hope that being aware of the latest trends and the most demanded skills in the industry will give job seekers the opportunity to build their competitive edge as well as apply for the right vacancies,” said Ms. Balandreau.
