SEARCA’s graduate study programme welcomes applicants from the SEAMEO member countries including Cambodia to undertake master’s and doctoral degrees in the fields of Agricultural/Biological, Social Sciences, Economics and Agribusiness, Forestry and Fisheries, Environmental Sciences, Agro-industrial Technology and Engineering at one of the following universities: Institute Pertanian Bogor (IPB) Indonesia; Kasetsart University (KU), Thailand; Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia; Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia; University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), Philippines.
Online course on fashion as design
Course starts: March 19
The Museum of Modern Art has launched a free online course on Fashion as Design, available for general audiences and those specifically interested in art, design and fashion. The course, taught for 2-3 hours per week, is centred on a selection of more than 70 garments and accessories from around the world, ranging from kente cloth to jeans to 3D-printed dresses. Students will get direct experiences from designers, makers, historians, and others working with clothing every day.
English pathway studies scholarship

The Bond University is offering all international applicants a chance to apply for the partial English Pathway Studies Scholarship, awarded on the basis of academic excellence, to study in the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program in Australia. They must complete the Bond University Online Application Form to receive their programme offer before applying for this scholarship.

The Government of the People’s Republic of China is opening a fellowship programme for the academic year 2018-19 to developing nations in Africa, Asia–Pacific, Latin America, Europe and North America and the Arab region. Some 75 gifted fellows will be awarded places for advanced studies at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and study at the host universities as visiting scholars. Most programmes will be taught in English, but some fields also require study in the Chinese language.
Summer school programme

The Erasmus Mundus Association through the Southeast Asia Chapter, the Institute for Global Education Exchange and Internships and Mendal University in Brno, Czech Republic are calling for interesting and potential candidates to study in the Summer School programme “Understanding Innovative Potential of Central Europe: The Region’s Economic, Political, and Cultural Environment” for three weeks in four countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, and Slovakia. The program fee is 3,500 EUR included tuition fee, accommodation, meals, transportation, and round-trip airfare from Manila to Prague.
World youth essay competition
Application deadline: March 31
The WYEC 2018 is organised in an effort to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of the world’s youth. It also aims to inspire society to learn from young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world. Candidates are required to submit an essay between one to eight pages long in the English language. There is no topic restriction and candidates are free to choose any field they prefer.
