Khmer Times visits BELTEI University

Top editors of Khmer Times, on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to BELTEI International University in a bid to build better relations between the publication group and the university’s students.

BELTEI International University was founded on January 1, 2002 by H.E. Ly Chheng, who is currently an advisor to the Council of Ministers and also president of the Cambodian Higher Education Association. The university offers programmes at bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate levels. Its PhD programmes are in educational administration and leadership, business administration and international business.

“Our university is committed to academic excellence in learning, teaching and research,” H.E. Ly Chheng told the Khmer Times group.

“We are creating a globally challenging academic environment where students can potentially step into the realm of higher learning and thinking,” he added.

Khmer Times agreed to provide practical training for BELTEI International University lecturers on journalism, report writing and communications. The publication group also agreed to provide internship for selected university students to train them in news gathering and reporting.
