Prime Minister Hun Sen has instructed all ministries, public institutions and sub-national level administrations to use the three flags that represent the nation’s motto and photographs of the King father, Queen mother and the King in meeting rooms.
According to a directive issued by Mr Hun Sen on Tuesday, some ministries and institutions have not been using the three flags, including the Buddhist flag, the Royal Standard flag and the national flag.
The premier instructed all public institutions to use the three flags together and have photographs of King Father Norodom Sihanouk, Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk and King Norodom Sihamoni in their meeting rooms.
Mr Hun Sen said that using the three flags together showed respect to the national motto: Nation, Religion, King.
He added that the national flag was in the middle, the flag of religion was on the left and the royal flag was on the right. The flags are placed above the photos.
The directive said the size of the flags should be at least 0.25 metre in width to 0.375 metre in length and the size of three photos should be at least 0.3 metre in width to 0.4 metre in length.
The flags and photos can be bigger depending on the backdrop of each meeting room.
