WMF empowerment scheme

Students from developing countries are offered scholarship opportunities by the Wells Mountain Foundation through the Empowerment Through Education (ETE) programme. Participants must pursue undergraduate studies in their home country or a neighbouring country. According to the Foundation’s belief in the power and importance of community service, all candidates are required to volunteer for a minimum of 100 hours a year.
Momentum for Change 2018 Lighthouse Activities

Momentum for Change is opening applications for its 2018 Lighthouse Activities to all organisations, communities, cities, businesses, governments and others who are addressing climate change issues. If their project is successfully selected, the applicant will be fully covered to take part in the 2018 UN Climate Change Conference in Katowice, Poland, with other benefits and opportunities.
MRC Writing Competition

The Mekong River Commission (MRC) is calling for potential candidates from Mekong countries to join a writing competition on the theme “What does the Mekong Mean to You?” aimed at celebrating the 3rd Mekong River Commission Summit on April 4 and Mekong Day on April 5 as well as reflecting the great importance of the Mekong River. A short written entry not exceeding 60 words about one’s connection with the Mekong River and its importance is required. The selected winners will be awarded cash and invited to join the conference in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

With special funds, SCI Germany is offering volunteer opportunities to successful international applicants between 18 and 28 years of age for 13 months from Aug. 22, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2019 in Germany to work in social work, depending on the available projects. The selected candidates will be fully funded with provision of pocket money, but they are encouraged to study the German language.
Leadership Training in Japan

Young professionals from Asean nations are invited to apply for a Leadership Training Programme, supported by IATSS Forum. All young outstanding leaders will have a chance to learn from each other through workshops, field studies, group discussions, and cultural exchanges along with other activities, especially discussions about current issues in the Asean region and Japan, under the motto “Thinking and Learning Together.” Note that all documents are to be submitted to the applicant’s Country Secretariat.
