The Royal Gendarmerie raided two houses on Friday, one in Phnom Penh and one in Preah Sihanouk province.  They arrested 36 people suspected of running Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) scams.

The report of the military police notes that the raids were carried out by the Cambodian military police in cooperation with Thai authorities.

Of the 36 arrested suspects 33 were nabbed in Phnom Penh, and the other three in Preah Sihanouk.  The majority of them, 26 to be exact, are Thai nationals; six are Taiwanese and four Cambodians.

The two ringleaders are still at large, but the military police is intensively searching for the whereabouts of the presumably married couple.
