The Supreme Court on Friday rejected bail to two activists from the NGO Mother Nature, who did not attend the trial. Hun Vannak (36) and Dearm Kundy (22) were convicted of incitement to commit a felony and violation of privacy by the Koh Kong Provincial Court earlier this year.
Soeng Panhavuth, the presiding judge, said that the Supreme Court denied them bail, upholding the appeal court’s decision.
The defendants’ attorney said that “it is unjust for them,” but did not go any further as to details.
