Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An yesterday said that the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts should produce a big budget film documenting the Angkor temples in Siem Reap province in order to raise funds.
Ms Sam An made the comment while presiding over the annual meeting for the ministry.
“We should produce a big film to reflect our hard work and our ancestry,” she said. “This film could make a profit and feed our people, civil servants, and militaries.”
“We need to register ancient temples, hill areas, ancient ponds, ancient bridges, and ancient lakes because we have a lot,” Ms Sam An added. “We must work hard to find private partners to join to produce a film to document our land, people and our culture.”
