Cambodia’s National Olympic Committee (NOCC) have praised the efforts of its stakeholders in aiding the kingdom’s budding sportsmen and women through generous donations.
Gordon Tang, the vice-president of the NOCC, handed out $36,000 worth of computer equipment to national sports federations to strengthen their administration ahead of the SEA Games 2023, which will be hosted in Cambodia.
Tang, who is also president of the Cambodian Sailing Federation, donated the 40 laptops at last week’s General Assembly at the Morodok Techo National Sports Complex.
Vath Chamroeun, the secretary-general of the NOCC, said the computers would be great tools for the various federations: “This is a great aid in facilitating the administration for national sports federations,” he said.
“This will be a boon to administration and will help them be more active on websites promoting their sports and federations.”Meanwhile, Tang also rewarded Cambodia’s medallists and coaches at the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games from a prize fund of $25,000.
