Two Cambodians die in car accident in Thailand

Two Cambodian migrant workers were killed and 12 injured in the early hours of Feb. 2 in an accident Sa Kaeo, Thailand.

The car in which they were travelling overturned, trapping a man and a woman underneath it. They did not survive their injuries. A dozen passengers, one of them an infant girl, were injured and sent to a nearby hospital.

The Bangkok Post wrote that victims were undocumented workers. The Thai police found that they had crossed into Ta Phraya district and were on their way to work in central Pathum Thani province.

According to a Cambodian official in Sa Kaeo, who asked to remain nameless, the bodies arrived in Cambodian on the evening of Feb.2. He added that injured are not seriously hurt, and the Consulate General of Cambodia is working with Thai authorities to guarantee the victims well-being.
