Ngann Sari, the Bati district police chief, said On Thursday morning that the workers were unwell and fainted.
“We do not know the real reason for them fainting yet, but we suspect it could be due to their fellings when they came back to work after many workers fainted on Tuesday,” he said.
Mr Sari said that some of the fainting workers are the same ones who fainted on Tuesday.
He added that officials went to help the workers and sent them to hospital.
Bati district governor Ouk Ry said there were about 140 workers who fainted and seven of them were in bad shape and were sent to the provincial hospital.
“We did not know the reason yet and we will have a meeting today with the committee for fainting research and prevention to find the real reason,” he said.
