Cambodian police deported a suspected American paedophile wanted by the FBI on Wednesday, senior police officials said.
Lieutenant General Uk Heisela, director of inspection and procedure at the department of immigration, said that Samuel Douglas Lovejoy, 31, has been deported back to his home country.
“We have already deported him with US officials who came to escort him,” he said.
Mr Lovejoy was arrested by police in Kampot province on January 9 with an FBI arrest warrant in cooperation with the US embassy.
He allegedly abused children in the United States, and was not involved in any sexual abuse in Cambodia.
