Hong Kong-based Celestial Tiger Entertainment has announced a new TV channel carriage deal in Cambodia, signing PPCTV, the kingdom’s leading provider of cable TV service and broadband internet.
The company already has a deal with Celestial and carries its Celestial Classic Movies, the world’s most-widely distributed classic Chinese movie channel.
With the new deal announced on Tuesday, PPCTV will also now carry KIX, an ultimate action entertainment channel.
Celestial Tiger Entertainment also announced its launch into Laos this week, signing a deal with satellite and DTH TV service operator LaoSAT to carry two action entertainment channels.
First Media, Indonesia’s leading cable pay-TV and broadband, will also now carry two Celestial Tiger Entertainment channels.
Celestial Tiger CEO Todd Miller said, “We are thrilled to further expand and deepen our footprint across Southeast Asia,” adding that more carriage deals in the region will be announced this year.
