Authorities in Phnom Penh’s Toul Kork district on Wednesday raided an online football gambling facility, arresting three owners and one gambler in Phsar Depo III commune.

Commune chief Leav Sunly said that an investigation was conducted by district officials before the raid was launched.

“Four people were arrested and sent to the district police office in the joint operation,” he said.

The three owners arrested were identified as Vuthy Sreylen, 25, Oung Phalla, 32, and Khieu Panhawat, 26. The gambler was identified as Ya Haidang, 28.

According to a municipal police report, 18 computer monitors, 14 computers, some printers, televisions and cash were seized during the operation.

The facility was then ordered to shut down by the municipal court, where the accused will soon make their first appearance.
