A police officer and his girlfriend were yesterday arrested by anti-drug police for drug use and possession at a guesthouse in Phnom Penh.
Lim Touch, a municipal anti-drug police officer, identified the suspects as Sam Tola, 32, a police officer, and his girlfriend Send Lili, 25, a clothes vendor.
Mr Touch said they were arrested on Wednesday morning at about 10am after police raided a guesthouse room in Por Senchey district.
“They were arrested while they were smoking drugs inside the guesthouse room,” he said. “After their arrests, police seized three small packages of crystal methamphetamine as well as drug-using materials.”
He said that they were accused of drug use and possession and are continuing to be questioned at the district police station.
