Cambodia and China signed 19 agreements and memorandums of understanding on Thursday, involving infrastructure connectivity, human resource building, agriculture, the economy, electricity and health, as the two countries mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
The agreements, note exchanges and memorandums of understanding were signed by Prime Minister Hun Sen and visiting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh.
The agreements include a concessional loan for the Phnom Penh-Preah Sihanouk Expressway, financing cooperation on the new Phnom Penh airport and agreements on building and rehabilitating infrastructure.
The Chinese premier is on an official visit to Cambodia to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Cambodia-China diplomatic relations.
Mr Li also attended the second Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Leaders’ Meeting in Phnom Penh on Wednesday.
