Colder than usual weather will again hit Cambodia from tomorrow until Monday, but it won’t be as cold as last month, the Meteorology Ministry said yesterday.
The ministry said the cool weather will be due to the influence of north-eastern monsoons and low-pressure systems from China.
“These two influences will make temperatures drop continuously from January 10 to 15,” a statement said.
It added that the temperature along mountain ranges will drop to 14 degrees Celsius, while Mondulkiri, Ratanakkiri, Stung Treng, Oddor Meanchey, Preah Vihear and Pailin provinces will see temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
In other provinces, the temperature will be between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius, except coastal provinces, where it will be 23 to 24 degrees Celsius.
Last month, cool weather hit lows of 13 degrees Celsius in some provinces.
The ministry has warned that cold bouts of weather will last until the end of January at least.
