Nominations for the third PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards are open, and the outstanding developments in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville will be recognised at the third edition of prestigious awards.

The PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards are held to recognise the finest developers and real estate projects in the country and were originally launched in Phnom Penh.

Presented by KHI, the annual PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards will hold its black-tie gala evening on March 16, 2018, at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.

The awards are open to property developers and companies with eligible developments located in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville – the location of some of the most exciting and innovative properties in the country today.

Developers and the general public are welcome to submit nominations until January 5, 2018, while entries are accepted until January 12, according to a statement from the Property Report. There are no fees to enter.

The categories for awards are grouped into three main sections: Developer, Development and Design. There will also be a selection of special awards for promoting corporate social responsibility and excellence in sustainable development, green building and universal design.

In addition, the editors of Property Report magazine are searching for the next Cambodia Real Estate Personality of the Year, to celebrate an individual who has displayed innovation, ambition and achievements in the local real estate industry. The winner of this special award will be named before the 2018 gala dinner.

For the 2018 edition, the number of participating developers is expected to increase as the awards become more competitive and more outstanding projects are announced.

Hari V. Krishnan, the CEO of PropertyGuru Group, said: “The growth of the Cambodian real estate and construction sectors in recent years has been remarkable and we are delighted to continue our focus on one of Southeast Asia’s rapidly emerging property markets.

“As the majority of domestic consumers now begin their property search online, the PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards plays a significant role as a starting point where consumers can embrace innovation and discover the best properties of the year.”

Supervised by BDO, the world’s fifth largest auditing and accountancy firm, the PropertyGuru Cambodia Property Awards is judged by an independent panel of industry experts led by Sorn Seap, the founder and director of Key Real Estate.

“I believe the awards program has become a great contributor to the construction and real estate industries in Cambodia, attracting the attention of investors from around the region and the rest of the world to consider investing in the Cambodian property sector,” Mr. Seap said.

“The Awards have become an institution now that plays a significant role in promoting real estate and construction growth in Cambodia.”

Terry Blackburn, the founder and managing director of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, said: “It’s a tremendous honour to be responsible for providing a platform to recognise and reward the country’s leading developers and projects.

“We hope that the Cambodia Property Awards will encourage even better quality construction, more innovative design and sustainable development in the years ahead.”
