Myanmar President visits Cambodia
Htin Kyaw, the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, arrived in Cambodia at noon on Friday on a four-day state visit and will be received by King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace in the afternoon.
According to his schedule which was released by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Mr. Htin Kyaw will fly back to Myanmar on Monday.
He will have talks with Prime Minister Hun Sen tomorrow morning and after that meeting will visit Wat Phnom. He will then fly to Siem Reap to visit Angkor Wat and other temples in the provinces until Monday.
He was elected president in March 2016 after the National League for Democracy won a majority of seats in parliament during the 2015 general elections.
Cambodia and Myanmar first established diplomatic relations in 1955.
