Students of the University of Health Sciences on Tuesday posted a petition to Prime Minister Hun Sen’s Facebook page asking for his intervention to change their failed exit exam grades to passes because they are committed to their professions.

According to the petition, 35 students failed the exit exam to become doctors and dentists and want their grades changed, leading to much criticism from other Facebook users.

Soum Maborit, a student who signed the petition, said that the failing students believe they received low grades because the Health Ministry had a quota on how many students can pass.

“The 35 students who failed the exam are requesting passing grades because they really love their professions,” he added.

Sen Lim Nov, chief of the National Exam Committee, declined to comment.
