Education Minister Hang Chuon Naron urged all public schools to be stricter with their staff members.  All staff, especially teachers, must follow their schools’ rules and regulations – for the benefit of their students’ education.

Dr. Chuon Naron’s directive, signed and sent to all provincial education departments on Thursday, stated that a number of school staff members, and educators fail to comply with school schedules.  Such behaviour negatively impacts the school’s curriculum, their colleagues’ work load, the students’ education, and consequently the community as a whole.

He therefore ordered the stricter monitoring of the attendance of all school staff members, and taking disciplinary action against those who come in late, leave early, skip classes, or don’t come to work at all.  He added that all staff and teachers must comply with the dress code at work.
